I’m Amelia.
Hi everyone, I’m Amelia! In 2020, I graduated from the University of Dundee with a First Class Honours Dual-Qualifying Scots and English Law LLB. I then graduated from the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (the Scottish equivalent of the LPC) in June 2021. I complete my Training Contract at international commercial law firm, CMS, in August 2023. You can read about my trainee solicitor journey in my dedicated Trainee Diary Series. I have since moved onto a career at the Scottish Bar.
I did a lot of blogging before for various websites but then I had the idea to create my own website where I could hold all of my blogs in one place. I was getting a lot of inmails on LinkedIn with questions about vacation schemes and Training Contracts and I believe that this website will be a valuable source of knowledge when it comes to the application process.
There are many different ways into firms’ Vacation Schemes and Training Contracts. This website’s blogs are solely written by myself and are based on my experiences in the legal sector. None of my content is sponsored.
There isn’t one set way to be ‘successful’ in all of your applications but hopefully with the guidance of this website, you’ll have a better insight into the processes involved and find my hints and tips useful!
